    Corporate Legal Counsel and Company Secretary

    • Your expertise in corporate governance and company secretarial work makes you a trusted advisor who can handle complex responsibilities with ease.

    What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

    • In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing corporate governance and company secretarial services for the group of companies.
    • This includes drafting and negotiating memoranda of incorporation and shareholders’ agreements, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, maintaining statutory records, and managing share transactions.
    • You will advise the board on fiduciary duties, ensure the smooth running of board and committee meetings, and maintain company registers and documentation.
    • Additionally, you’ll provide legal counsel on governance matters, monitor legislative changes, and implement risk mitigation strategies across the group.
    • Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance and supporting the continued growth of the business.

    What you’ll need

    • You will need a law degree or company secretarial qualification with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in corporate governance and company secretariat work.
    • Experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred but as long as you have experience within a corporate group of companies that’s suitable.
    • Professional writing skills, business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others are key.
