    JDE Specialist

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • High School Certificate
    • Tertiary qualification or relevant Financial Information Systems Qualification
    • At least 5 years in a similar role providing support, project implementation and upgrades
    • Strong background within Finance and JDE Finance Modules

    Advantageous skills:

    • Financial Information Systems

    • BI reporting

    Technical Skills should include:

    • JDE training per module
    • Understanding of database

    Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

    Provide ERP system support and solutions:

    • Partner with business representatives at all levels to assess, initiate, refine and design appropriate process and technology solution:
    • Gather and document business and functional requirements, system flow diagrams, functional specification etc. to meet the requirements, estimate time and resourcing requirements.
    • Gather operational and functional requirements from business users and subject matter experts, analyse the information and data gathered, and provide direction in formulating new functions, processes, and procedures.
    • Analyse and examine business processes and procedures by reviewing user roles, use cases and other application specifications in detail.
    • Analyse issues to figure out the best solutions and working with technical and change management teams to get the changes implemented.
    • Define small to medium project scopes and expectations and confirm that the application requirements are established and in operation within the project schedule and budget.
    • Develop, test, and implement specifications:
    • Develop technical specifications to implement solutions that are accurate, streamlined, and well documented.
    • Develop test plans and oversee the execution of tests for new functionality, system enhancement, upgrades, and integration.
    • Apply and test configurations to assigned JDE Application setup.
    • Liaise with team members before implementing changes to check up and down-stream consequences.
    • Design business processes, applications, and operational reports in support of various applications and business areas.
    • Implement product configuration changes addressing business requirements and process reengineering.
    • Follow all prescribed software development life cycle and project management processes and procedures.
    • Ensure that operational requirements are properly implemented, and operational procedures are followed.
    • Provide functional application support and deliver JDE solutions:
    • Provide post implementation support for the implemented solutions.
    • Function as a JDE subject matter expert and assist end-users by problem solving, addressing queries, and encouraging increased adoption of functionality.
    • Liaise with development teams on technical specifications for all module reports, interfaces, customization, extensions, and workflow requirements.
    • Collaboratively develop customised training for end users.
    • Prioritize and resolve system issues to provide end-user support to ensure the system is performing as designed, information is timely and accurate, and end-users are functioning effectively.
    • Implement, monitor, and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability.
    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology.
