    Project Manager

    About the role

    • As a Project Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee and ensure the effective delivery of an integrated Facilities Management solution in alignment with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) set with our client. This role encompasses the management of both planned and reactive maintenance projects across a building or a cluster of buildings.Top of Form

    What you will bring

    • Building science / project management / construction management or similar technical tertiary qualification.
    • Two years relevant practical experience in project management. Experience within the Facilities management within a corporate environment
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage time, cost, and quality
    • Proficiency in using project tracking tools
    • Strong budgeting and expense control capabilities
    • Familiarity with technical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and building systems
    • Effective people management skills, including performance management and contractor oversight
    • Ability to manage and forecast resources for maintenance activities
    • Strong report compilation and documentation skills

    What you will be doing

    Project Management and Contract Administration (40\%)

    • Act as on-site project manager for various projects
    • Follow industry standards for contract administration and verify final accounts
    • Issue payment certificates to contractors and finalize scope of works with clients
    • Manage project time, cost, and quality control
    • Oversee tenant installations and maintenance projects, including specifications
    • Compile reports for Senior Management and process Public Liability and Property Damage Claims

    Forecasting and Scheduling (20\%)

    • Manage resources for reactive and preventative maintenance
    • Conduct building inspections and technical assessments to define scopes of work
    • Advise clients on necessary refurbishments and schedule proactive maintenance
    • Conduct monthly meetings with service providers and set site-specific KPIs

    Budgeting and Expense Control (10\%)

    • Assess and input into annual expense budgets
    • Manage reports on budgets and expenditure, benchmarking industry standards and rates
    • Procure stock within budget limits and maintain building maintenance expenses below market rates

    People Management (10\%)

    • Manage performance and development of internal staff
    • Oversee and support external service and maintenance contractors, including regular meetings

    Asset and Inventory Management (10\%)

    • Manage client asset administration and short-term insurance claims
    • Audit TV licenses database and coordinate asset lifecycle management

    Procurement (10\%)

    • Oversee procurement activities, including basket of goods, tender/quotation processes, and compliance
    • Manage daily procurement activities of the procurement team
