    Specialist: Technical Training - Mokopane

    Introduction:

    • Komatsu is seeking a highly skilled and experienced qualified Millwright to join their Technical Training team Mokopane. The successful candidate should have 5 years of technical field experience in the Mining Industry with Mining Equipment: Hydraulic Mining Shovel; Rope Shovel and Electrical Wheel loaders.  The candidate must have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillset.

    Required Qualification

    • Matric
    • Trade – Millwright/Electrician

    Required Experience

    • 5 Years of technical field experience after qualification with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillset.
    • Experience in Komatsu Mining Equipment: Electrical trucks (730E to 960E); Hydraulic Mining Shovel; Rope Shovel and Electrical Wheel loaders.
    • Valid Drivers Licence

    Job Specifications:

    Technical Training Materials, Manuals, Tools, and Aids

    • Updates and maintains materials, presentations, manuals, worksheets, tools, and tips for implementation in training programs (in a given area of expertise)
    • Arranges for copying & binding of manuals and training materials.
    • Check all materials upon return from a training event.
    • Arranges for storage/filing of materials.
    • Arranges for replacement/updates/ordering of new training stock items.

    Technical Training

    • Drafts a training plan for roll-out to customers & obtains approval.
    • Schedules ad hoc training into the overall plan, as initiated by machine sales, new customers, or new staff at customer sites.
    • Delivers/conducts high-quality, outcomes-driven training to customers.
    • Assess the performance of the customer mechanics/artisans and address the needs identified through effective training.
    • Identify the need for additional special training material and arrange for the compilation of suitable material.
    • Report back to the Training Manager any findings noted during training that may adversely affect the machine life or productivity of the machine.

    Training Records

    • Incorporates changes into future training events.
    • Completes required paperwork after the training event.
    • Following up on any suggestions for improvement or criticism – Quality Management system outputs.
    • Drafts training reports.
    • Provides feedback regarding possible sales leads.
