Lecturer Position : Community Health Studies: Ref B102

Minimum Requirements

A Masters Degree in Environmental Health / Public Health/ Environmental Management
Minimum of 3 years lecturing experience in Higher Education
Current and active registration with the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA)
Teaching and record of research publications in accredited journals would be a strong recommendation
Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD

Recommendations

Minimum 2 years experience in the Environmental / Public Health or Environmental Management field

Duties

Teach undergraduate courses in Environmental Health.
Demonstrate leadership in teaching, research and community service.
Take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate students research projects
Supervise post-graduate students
Contribute to research by publishing articles and book chapters
Serve in committees within the University and external professional organisations
Engage in community engagement and outreach.
Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department
