Lecturer Position : EMCR : Ref C202

Minimum Requirements:

A Masters Degree in Emergency Medical Care or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in Higher Education and Training
Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Emergency Care Practitioner
Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD

Additional Recommendations:

Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet use.

Summary of duties

Contribute to the research, design, development & review of Teaching and Learning, curriculum development and institutional development policies, procedures, systems & instruments as required, in line with relevant quality assurance mechanisms.
Provide and facilitate teaching, learning and assessment in emergency medical care and rescue across all four years of the programme.
Develops learning material and course content, to ensure continuity in relevance and maintenance of quality
Involvement in research activities
Engages in continuous academic development
Involvement in community engagement
