Job Description:

  • The High Commission of Canada in Ghana seeks to recruit Public Financial Management (PFM) Specialist.

    Consultants applying for this position must have the following knowledge and qualification

    • Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in economics, finance,public administration or accounting
    • A professional qualification as an economist or certified chartered accountant

    The consultant should also have the following experience and skills

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in working in the field of public financial management, of which a minimum of 5 years of experience must be in public financial management policy and/or programme delivery preferably in or for a bilateral or multilateral development institution
    • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Ghana
    • Demonstrated experience in working with government/or donors in a technical capacity on a variety of public financial management issues with attention to project planning, budgeting and monitoring, including in government donor coordinate groups
    • Excellent English writing skills
