Junior Technical Support Engineer – Industrial Automation (Randburg)

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Technical Support Engineer. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to grow in the industrial automation field, providing technical support and assisting with troubleshooting and product installations.

Qualifications & Experience:

1-2 years of experience in technical support, preferably within the industrial automation industry.
National Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field).
Basic knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA development.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals and wireless networking is a plus.
Understanding of PoE-based solutions like IP Cameras and IP Phones is beneficial.

Desired Attributes:

South African citizen with a valid ID and drivers license.
Strong interest in learning and developing technical skills in industrial automation.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Willingness to occasionally travel for work-related activities.
