    Head of Business Intelligence

    Key responsibilities

    Implementation and Leadership:

    • Drive the implementation of the SSA data analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and goals.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the data analytics team, ensuring alignment with company priorities and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to drive business value and competitive advantage.

    Data Management and Governance (in the case of local data sources):

    • Oversee the collection, storage, and management of data assets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
    • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry and company standards.
    • Establish data architecture and infrastructure to support efficient data processing, analysis, and reporting.

    Analysis and Insights Generation:

    • Lead the development of analytical models, algorithms, and techniques to extract actionable insights from data.
    • Conduct advanced data analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data sets.
    • Translate complex data insights into clear and concise recommendations for business stakeholders and decision-makers.

    BI and Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
    • Align with global on reporting and analytical trends.

    Forecasting and Risk Management:

    • Utilize predictive analytics techniques to forecast demand, anticipate market trends, and mitigate risks.
    • Analyze risk factors such as geopolitical events, regulatory changes, and economic indicators to inform risk management strategies.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, marketing, and finance teams, to understand their data and analytics needs.
    • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, tailored to their level of understanding and expertise.

    Talent Development and Team Management:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of data analysts, data scientists, and BI specialists to build a high-performing data analytics team.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to support their growth and career advancement.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Post graduate University degree in a business discipline.

    Experience

    • 5-6 years experience in an analytical environment/project management
