The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of Complex Projects and or Programs in line with Group Project Management Policy and Framework.
He/ She should ensure program delivered meet business expectations and that projects and programs are registered on the approved project portal with key deliverables defined for each stage/phase in the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure and or Agile/Scrum methodology where applicable.
Key Responsibilities

Lead / Manage the delivery of Complex Projects and or Programs:

Business Applications (Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Treasury, Risk, Procurement, Audit, etc.)

Manage site and application delivery in an Agile development environment.

Participate in defining and document digital product features.

Participate and Lead design sessions and work with the team/designer to document wireframes, design, and user experience.

Oversee the QA and testing process and work with the team to ensure all features are tested and functioning properly

Participate in the ongoing evaluation of new technologies and services

Solicit feedback from all levels of the organization, including senior management, and prioritize and incorporate relevant feedback into the mobile and digital product offerings.

Apply Project Management Methodology, standards and processes in the implementation of projects/programs.

Ensure all initiative approval conditions are met before their commencement.

Ensure project/Program information is complete, updated and stored in the project repository.

Create and Manage program Schedules.

Identify Resource requirements, secure resource assignments and supervise implementation.

Identify Stake holders.

Manage the scope, time and cost of the project/programs to meet functional business and quality expectations.

Schedule and attend project governance meetings.

Manage project/program financials

Manage transition of the product / service to the responsible technology operations unit.

Provide accurate project/programs status updates in agreed format and at agreed frequency to relevant stakeholders.

Liaise with Organizational Change Management function to define and execute a benefits realization plan and change management strategy for the projects/programs.

Ensure Central Design Authority, Information Security, Test and Version Control and Change Approval Board (CAB) approvals are obtained in the life cycle of the projects.

Skills Required
Background/experience
-
Minimum of a BSc/HND in Information Technology and a Master’s degree in Business Admin is recommended
-
8 – 12 years working experience in the delivery of complex Projects/Programs .
-
Must have Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince 2) or and Agile/Scrum certification.
-
Must have program management training. Certification is a plus
-
Fluency in the French Language is a plus.
Specific job skills

Very Good Understanding of IT Systems of Banking.

Knowledge of Technology (Database Management, Networks, Operating Systems, Disaster Recovery, BCM, Internet, Extranet, Client/Server and n-tiers architecture, Servers, Security, etc)

Exposure to technology management standards like ITIL, COBIT and TOGAF is a plus.

Exposure or Knowledge in any one of Business Application, Technology Infrastructure and Card Operations is a plus.

Experience and Knowledge of MS Office tools like MS project, Power Point, Visio, MS Word etc.
