Introduction

• Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a packing material manufacturer situated in Harrismith in the Eastern Free State. Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of VKB Landbou (Pty) Ltd and part of the VKB Group. The investment in this company is in line with the Group’s strategy to focus on integration opportunities in the agricultural value chain and results in a decrease in input costs for producers.

Responsibilities

• Efficient workflow planning to meet production targets and deadlines
• Fault finding
• Preparation and running equipment
• Quality monitoring
• Optimal utilization of resources to ensure minimum waste, maximum productivity and work efficiency
• Adherence to all Health and Safety legislative requirements and meeting the required standards
• Responsible for routine daily analysis
• Manage and identify all standards for product evaluation
• Calibrating of machines.
• Facilitate training for machine operators.

Skills & competencies

• Good planning and time management skills
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Problem solving and well-developed decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of bag making process, packing and flexographic printing processes will be advantageous
• Good computer literacy (MS Office)
• The ability to multi–task and to work independently under pressure
• Must be self-driven and self-motivated together with a passion for the paper bag manufacturing or other packaging production environments.
• Triumph machine experience will be advantageous
