    Job Summary:

    Responsible for monitoring, accounting, and reporting on all Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Capex Budget as well as Capital Projects Group (CPG) Operational Budget (Opex) in accordance with MTN policies, processes, and procedures with the aim of ensuring cost efficiency and accountability.

    Job Role:

    • Create Information Technology (IT) and Facilities (FAC) Projects in Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool in line with approved Budgets.
    • Review and approve projects demand baseline budget request on the system.
    • Monitor and track Information Technology (IT) and Facilities CAPEX Budget spend against Budget.
    • Review Projects Budget Reallocation documents for sign off in line with governance framework and Delegation of Authority (DoA).
    • Analyse projects cost and import to Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool.
    • Interface with Project Managers on budget commitments and capitalization reconciliation.
    • Perform required PPM System transactions to capitalize projects actual cost and transfer to Fixed Asset Register.
    • Analyse projects budget and actual costs in line with Value-based Capital Allocation (VBCA) Framework.
    • Monitor, track, and report on Capital Projects Group (CPG) Divisional Opex Budget.
    • Support in Annual Opex Budget preparation.
    • Raise purchase requisitions for Opex purchase orders.
    • Prepare payment approvals for non-purchase orders payments.
    • Interface with finance on monthly reconciliation of Opex Budget lines.
    • Ensure adequate monthly accruals/provisions are made for Opex transactions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Project Finance Support.

    Education:

    · A university degree in Accounting/ Finance

    Experience:

    • 3 years’ experience in same or similar role
    • Experience in telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.

    Professional/Technical competencies:

    • Adequate knowledge in Financial and project Reporting
    • Basic knowledge in Program & Project Management
    • Adequate knowledge in Business & Financial Acumen
    • Commercial Acumen
    • Basic understanding of GSM operations & Telecommunications Industry.
    • Advanced knowledge in trend analysis and interpretation
    • Adequate knowledge of High-Volume data analysis
    • Advanced knowledge of reporting tools e.g. Power BI
    • In depth knowledge of the market and industry
    • Knowledge of standard policies, practices, and procedures
    • Good communication skills – both verbal and written
    • Agile way of work
