Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the development and implementation of security policies, procedures and standards to minimise risk associated with crime with the view to enhancing the safety of staff and customers of the Bank
• Assist in monitoring and ensuring efficient functioning of electronic security installations, including access control systems, alarm systems, fire suppression systems and CCTV systems of the bank
• Carry out risk assessments by identifying, evaluating and reporting on security risks to the Security Coordinator
• Support the Security Coordinator with implementing and keeping abreast of security policies and procedures and compliance with logislations
• Make recommendations to the Security Coordinator on the revision of the security policy from time-to-time
• Assist with management of all security personnel on the bank’s premises
• Assist with the developing and implementation of security training and awareness programmes
• Assist with the tracking of movement in and out of the bank’s premises
• Investigate incidents and make recommendations to the security coordinator
• Assist with the deployment of adequate private security guards and armed police escorts for specie movement and guards duties
• Assist with the implementation of health and safety measures at the workplace
• Establish and maintain professional networking with law enforcement agencies, the intelligence community and peer banks
• Assist with the coordination of fire prevention and control activities, including auditing of fire systems and instituting remedial measures
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of first degree in security related field with at least 5 years post qualification work experience in a bank or corporate institution, state intelligence organisation, law enforcement agency or military related field
