What Is The Job

• We are looking for a young dynamic individual that wants to grow in a fast-paced environment within a similar minded team.
• The successful Accounts Payable Senior will be an experienced, resilient AP team member with a good understanding of all accounts payable principles and have a process improvement mindset. You will be inquisitive and able to challenge the status quo with experience of using Finance packages, Excel, good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.

What will be expected of you?

• Assist the Accounts Payable Lead & team members to meet their objectives
• Supervising and standing in when Accounts Payable Lead is out of office
• Support internal teams and external suppliers with account queries
• Continuously improve the reconciliation and payment process, including automation where possible
• Preparation and checking of vendor reconciliations
• Reviewing and preparing supplier payment batches
• Preparation of age analysis recons
• Assist with month-end close
• Assist Auditors with year-end audit

Are you qualified?

• Grade 12
• Financial Diploma/Certificate or similar tertiary qualification
• Drivers licence
• Own vehicle

Did you do this before?

• Senior level Accounts Payable experience
• Experience of leading a team will be advantageous
• Excellent reconciliation skills and financial applicable technical knowledge
• Strong resistance to pressure and experience of a high-volume environment
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and ensure all creditors are paid according to terms
• Excellent computer literacy
• Sufficient Excel skills (advanced level will be advantageous)
• Experience in working on Pastel Evolution advantageous
